Take part in the MFRA Catchers Instructs! Move Forward and Rise Above with Sports Performance Institute & Mid-West Catching Academy’s 13 Weekends of Pro-Level Detail catching instruction, high-performance training, and injury prevention! Train like the pros and get ready for next season or start learning the craft as a beginner! Max 18 total in HS session & 18 total for middle school catchers per division.

SESSIONS & GRADES

 

  • Starts November 5th and ends February 4th

  • Taking off Thanksgiving and Christmas weekend only

  • For Grades 6th – 8th & 9th – 12th

  • Grades 6th-8th 10am-12:30pm

  • Grades 9th-12th 1pm-3:30pm

  • Catchers must have own gear

  • Limited seating for parents

  • Showcase for HS players February 11th

*MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 12 PER GRADE SESSION TO MAKE! ACCEPTING ONLY A MAX OF 18 PER SESSION

WHAT TO EXPECT


  • This year will be a bit different than years past. This year’s focus will be more streamlined per athlete

  • Breaking up the 12 weeks into 3, 4 week block programming sessions

  • Beginning performance assessments per player, creating individual plan and retesting each block

  • Individual detailed assessment on all catching aspects for development during and after camp

  • Speed, agility, strength programming

  • Mental preparation

  • Guest speakers/coaches

  • Training apparel

  • Video training

  • Ncsa profile account for HS players

  • Showcase for HS players

  • Competition events, with weekly stat board

  • Awards at end of camp for (top 3): best receiver, best blocker, quickest transfer, fastest pop-time, highest velo, most improved overall catcher, fastest fly in, best vert, most improved performance assessment

  • Platinum catcher award: if an athlete tops the charts (leads all boards weekly) on all aspects of awards – this athlete will receive a platinum glove tropy award, custom catchers’ mitt, and customized set of catching gear & bag from all-star

FINANCIAL DETAILS & RESPONSIBILITY

Grades 6th – 8th:

  •  Member: $1,350.00

  • Non-member: $1,550

Grades 9th – 12th:

  •  Member: $1,600.00 (includes showcase top/recruiting video & data)

  •  Non-members: $1,750.00 (includes showcase top/recruiting video & data)

    *We will promote/post/send your video to colleges of your choice, promote on all our social media platforms: SPI, MWCA & MFRA catchers showcase.*

  •  Deposit of $500.00 due on registration by clicking “Register Now”.

  •  Make payments by Venmo to (@mwca-1), by check made to “MWCA”, by credit card (includes a 3.75% fee)

  •  You can mail checks to: MWCA 2608 w. Kenosha st. Suite 433, broken arrow, ok. 74012

  • Payments are to be made in full by November 1st, 2022.

  •   (no refunds offered but can use for credits to SPI/MWCA lessons, memberships, training or towards other events.)


EARLY REGISTRATION OFFER

If you register by march 31st 11:59pm cst receive 30% off camp total.

If you miss the early registration period you will have 1 more opportunity to receive a 15% discount for early registration starting may 1st ending july 31st 11:59pm cst and extra discount if have previously attended MFRA instructs

If camp fills up before you can register we will have a waiting list if you are interested in attending should someone drop out!
